Hello Aspirant, Hope you are doing good.

Raoult's law states that ,

The Raoult's law states that a solvent's partial vapour pressure in a solution or mixture is equal to the vapour pressure of a pure solvent multiplied by its mole fraction in the solution.

Mathematically, the law equation can be written as :

P solution = solvent P 0 solvent, where...

P solution = vapour pressure of the solution.
solvent = mole fraction of the solvent.
P0 solvent = vapour pressure of the pure solvent.

Raoult's law demonstrates the importance of the temperature in the vial, which determines the vapor pressure of both the analyte and the matrix.

For example- let the total pressure of the solution be (P), and the mole fraction of A equals to x, then the partial pressure of A= x*P.

Hope this information helps you.
All the best.
