Glycogen is an accumulated food reserve in the fungi.The  fungi are saprophytic organism which obtain their food from the dead organisms and decaying materials. The food obtained is stored in the form of glycogen. Glycogen is broken down to glucose molecules.

The main food reserve in a fungal cell is glycogen.Glycogen acts as a storehouse of energy in the cell,and this energy is gets broken down into glucose whenever needed.

the carbohydrates in fungi is stored as glycogen.It provides energy for all wear and tear of the cell

Glycogen is a an accumulated food reserve in the fungi. The fungi are saprophytic organisms which obtain their food from the dead and decaying organisms and their traces. The obtained food is stored in the form of glycogen. The glycogen acts as a storage reserve which gets broken down into the glucose molecules, in order to provide energy to fungal body.
