Dear student,
The syllabus of First year of all branches is generally the same for all. And the ies examination mainly consists of 3rd and 4th year syllabus of mechanical engineering. The syllabus of first year is very less in the examination. Generally the chapters for maths are a part of the syllabus of the ies from first year.

Hi.

The syllabus for ISE Mechanical Engineering Exam is as follows:

PAPER 1 Syllabus

  1. Fluid Mechanics
  2. Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer

You can clearly see that the syllabus is vast and just the 1 st semester will not suffice. However, during your 4Year Engineering course most of the topics mentioned will be taught to you (depending on the curriculum followed in your university) Completed Engineering is one of the qualifications required to be eligible for this exam.

Good Luck
