Hello dear student !
Beta decay actually occurs when , in a Nucleus, with lots of neutrons of protons, one of the protons or neutrons is transformed into the other.
In electron emission ( negative beta decay) , an unstable nucleus emits an energetic electron and an antineutrino , and a neutron in the nucleaus becomes a proton that remains in the product nucleus.
Question : Beta rays emitted by a radioactive material are
Option 1: The electrons orbiting around the nucleus
Option 2: Charged particles emitted by the nucleus
Option 3: Neutral particles
Option 4: Electromagnetic radiations
Question : A radioactive substance does not undergo any change (in mass or charge) during
Option 1: gamma emission
Option 2: oxidation
Option 3: alpha emission
Option 4: beta emission
