Hello Aspirant,

Stress=Fa

a=πr2

a∝r2

a1a2=(r1r2)2=(21)2

⇒4

since the wires are made of same material so there youthful's modulus will be same.

Likewise the power applied and the region of cross segment is same(because span is same)

S1S2=F/a1F/a2=(a2a1)=14

Proportion of pressure is 1 : 4
