Couselling for JEE Advanced and JEE Main is conducted jointly by JoSAA. The body conducts joint seat allocation procedure on the basis of candidates' All India Rank in the entrance exam.

So, if you appeared for JEE Advanced but were not able to secure a good rank for IIT admission, then you will be considered for NIT admissions provided you have filled NITs in choices during choice filling. Fill maximum number of choices.
