Repeater students like all other students have their own share of advantages and disadvantages. Repeater students when joining degee courses , do it with confidence as they gain a little more experience than freshers. They have the same life like all other freshers from then on until its time to sit for placements .

The only main disadvantage is that if you didn't score well after repeating an year in your competitive exam and didn't get admission in a recent college then your interviewer will question you on it and form an image of yours based on it.

So you should only repeat an year if you really believe that you can do better and have the ability to study the same material once again for an year.
