getting it corrected from board is very tideous. But you should apply for it. the application number is important. you should also get a copy of proof that you've applied for name change.

If you an affidavit for that you don't need to panic as affidavits are legal document and is accepted by everyone. But if you have time ,then you can go for correction. Its your choice.
