They see my board exams were not so good, so I am repeating my class 12th as a private candidate, so if I score more than 75% next year, then that score will be considered for IIT or NIT or score of this year will be considered. And is it possible that repeating class 12th as a private candidate for JEE?

Hello Yuvii,

Yes, if you are repeating your class 12th exams as a private candidate and score more than 75% next year, that improved score will be considered for eligibility in IITs and NITs, provided you meet the other eligibility criteria. For IITs, you can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years after passing Class 12. For NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through JEE Main, the eligibility is based on your latest qualifying exam result. So, if you improve your Class 12 marks next year, that result will be valid for admissions.

Hope that helps. Have a great day
