Following are some general tips while you appear for interview. 

1- do not hesitate or panic

2- be polite when you answer 

3- answer what has been asked, nothing less, nothing more 

4- stay honest

5- if you do not know an answer, do not make too rough guesses 

Also, take brief mental notes of the course  when you're going for admissions. Do know in detail about the course you've appeared for, and make sure you've an answer if they ask for a reason for choosing that particular course. Also, stay updated about the university or college and keep a check on their history. Be wise not oversmart. Good luck. I hope you get what you seek for.
