Top 20 percentile is calculated by taking into account FIVE subjects-

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• Any Language, like English
• Any optional subject, like CSC or IP

Now, the total is calculated out of 500 marks obtained in the aforementioned FIVE subjects and a list of top 20 percentile is prepared by the respective Board and sent to JoSSA.

Here is the 2019 cutoff of Top 20 percentile of UP Board-

1. General- 334

2. OBC- 326

3. SC- 315

4. ST- 314 

5. PwD- 314
