Dear Argh, in 2018 under State Quota an All India Rank of 4362 secured 469 marks and secured a seat in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Medical College under General Category. That was the cut off for General Category. Now with a State Rank of 5523 it is difficult for a seat in a Government Medical College. You can get a seat in a Private Medical College. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats availble, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. You can check the cut offs of various colleges at:

Dear Aspirant,

You do not have decent chances at any medical college with your marks if you belong to General category. For a general category, safe marks for a government medical seat are 550. However, if this was your first attempt, then I suggest you should take a drop year and prepare again for NEET 2020. Try to score at least above 550 in order to secure a government medical college.

Here are a few links to assist you further in the preparation:-

Hope this helps.

All the best. Thank You.
