Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test (UPCET) 2021 is an entrance examination for admission to B.Pharm, BHMCT, BFA, B.Des, BFAD, B.Voc, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharm, M.Arch, BBA and BTech lateral entry courses. You cannot apply for First year  B.Tech Biotechnology course through UPCET. The admission to first year Engineering (B.Tech) is based on JEE Main score. So you need to appear for JEE Main and qualify in it. Earlier the admission to first year B.Tech was based on UPSEE but from 2021 JEE Main score will be considered.
