Hello Akash,

Thermodynamics is the branch of physics that deals with the relationships between heat and other forms of energy.

The first law of thermodynamics , popularly known as Law of Conservation of Energy , states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed and that energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. In other terms the law states that the internal energy of a system has to be equal to the work that is being done on the system, plus or minus the heat that flows in or out of the system and any other work that is done on the system.

Mathematically, the law can be expressed as ΔU = Q – W , where Δ U is the change in the internal energy, Q is the heat added to the system, and W is the work done by the system.

Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!

Regards
