Hi Aspirant,

In Augmented Reality you may have to learn about 3D modeling ,scanning, 3D games engines, 360° photos and videos, maybe a little bit of math and geometry, programming languages like C/C++/C# and software development kits (SDKs), etc. So if you choose CS , then most of the programming languages , Engineering Mathematics, some of the graphics (if you get a subject like Computer Graphics and Visualization) , even Artificial Intelligence would be taught as part of your computer science syllabus.

Whereas if you go for AI which is a specialization in cs i.e, you will be learning some of the same subjects like cs with little more depth in AI , it is all about systems learning to solve issues that users are having all by themselves. It's about machines learning things ,then processing huge amounts of data, finding the connections and learning to make decisions.

And even though AI is going to be future of life around us, it is still a part of CS only and there are basics of it taught in cs.

But in the end it all depends on your interest of subject.

Hope this helps.

Best of luck!!!
