Getting into a good NIT with a decent branch with a rank of 6700 will be difficult.

So, rather than focusing on getting into a less desired branch in NITs, I believe you should strive to get into a good branch in some good private colleges such as VITs and SRM.

So, hopefully, your problem has been resolved.
