The weight of CO2 obtained by the complete combustion of 480g carbon is calculated as follows:


1. Atomic weight of carbon (C) = 12 g/mol

2. Moles of carbon = 480 g / 12 g/mol = 40 moles

3. Molecular weight of CO2= 44 g/mol

4. Weight of CO2= 40 moles * 44 g/mol = 1760 g


Therefore, the weight of CO2 obtained is 1760 grams.
