The selection process consists of written test. Candidates who wish to apply must qualify the entrance test KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test). 

• Applicants must have passed class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with any one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology and Electronics) from a recognized university or institute.

• Students must have at least 45% marks in class 12 or equivalent examination.
