Your question is not clear. But I am trying to answer.
Basically, in engineering the odd semester starts from july or August, and ends in December meaning the odd semester exam ends in December.
And in case of even semester, the classes start from mid of January and even semester session ends in mid of June.
Though the session timings varies from institute to institute.
