I would like to tell you that the fees of NIT varies from institution to institution.
The fees of the 1st semester for BTech course fees are approximately from 70,000- 1,20,000 INR.
Also they have fees benefits for the followings

1. Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Handicapped- 100% tuition fee waiver
2. Economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum) - Full remission of the Fee
3. Other economically backward students (whose family income is between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh per annum)- 2/3rd of the fee
