As percentile is different for different session. There are total 6 session in which 1st phase of jee mains exam held this year. For one session score with higher percentile can be lower relative to other session. But on average you can take 75 percentile as qualifying percentile for general category students.

You can ask if you have any other queries.Feel free to ask

GOOD LUCK!

but for 75 percentile..there would be lakhs to compete for advanced ..right bt one would expect a less competition ..and one wou;ld get less than 60 marks fr 75 percentile ..60 marks have never been a qualifying mark

Hi Aspirant

The qualifying marks is considered on the basis of the number of students apeared and the difficulty level of the paper.Usually 10% students will be eligible for the Jee advance .So in that case it can be taken as more than 85%ile students will be eligible for Jee Advance.

But still this is just a calculation which is not yet confirmed. You should wait for the official announcement.

Good luck.

Hello Shashwat. Though it is hard to tell about qualifying cutoff before the April exam but a percentile of 80 or above might be good to get decent colleges. However NTA will declare the Overall merit list and cutoff on the basis of best of two attempts. The percentile will also depend on the no. of students appearing for the April exam.
