You can use any pencils and Erasers for Engineering, but its always better for you to get Mechanical Pencils for Sharp and dark shades in order to have a hassle free experience.

You can use any standard brands such as CAMLINE, ARTLINE, DOMS etc.

Also many engineering drawing will be entirely based on softwares such as Auto Cad, Automax 3D etc. So its not usually only pen and pencils for the engineering drawings and design.
