Hello divyam ,thanks for asking this question on this platform.now if yoy are confused about to take a drop or not .then firstly think what you want to do in future if you want to work in a multi national company or want to go unanswered private sector then taking a drop will be a investment of one year.
But if you want to go in government sector then taking a drop may be a wrong desicison .thanks I hope this will help you .

Hi Divyam, there are no disadvantages of drooping year.if you are confident and sure about your capabilities then you need to drop a year otherwise can't.
the disadvantage may be the syllabus.you need to cover all the syllabus in 1 year(11th + 12th).
