Chemistryplays a very importantrole in all engineering fields. As an engineer, you have to deal with few materials and if don't know chemistry, you'll not be able to handle that. In software related fields, you'll have basic chemistry only in first year. But few branches like Civil, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Petroleum Engineering will have chemistry throughout the course.
