Metallurgy is a domain of materials science that studies the physical and chemical behavior of metallic elements but yes,metallurgy is a branch of Mechanical Engineering.The other sub-branches of Mechanical engineering are Automobile engineering,Mechatronics,Power Plant engineering,Marine engineering,Industrial engineering,Robotics engineering etc...
