The components of Microbial Nutrition are as follows:
(A). Macro elements
1. Major (g/L)  - Carbon, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Sulphur, Phosphorus
2. Minor (mg/L)  - Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron

(B). Micro Elements
Usually Metals that serve structural and catalytic roles for some enzymes

(C). Compounds required for Growth
Amino Acids (for Proteins)
Vitamins (small organic molecules used as cofactors in enzymes)
Purines and Pyrimidines (for nucleic acid synthesis)
