see naval architects are generally work for ship building companies, however in india manufacturing companies related with ship building is really less, so if you want to work in design domain you need to know about the software like Autocad , general CAD software for 2D and 3D. Rhinocerus 5, solid moddeling(3D),  Maxsurf , for design engineer role . it would be also good if you go for post graduate course in reputed college where is good placement opportunity.
