Dear Sadiya, now to study Medicine abroad, it is mandatory to appear for NEET. And depending on the country that you want to.pursue your Medicine in, you should first take a Language proficiency test. It can be either TOEFL or IELTS depebding upon the Country and University that you are choosing. Countries like USA do not have Medical courses right after 10+2. You will have to complete your Bachelors degree to be able to study Medicine there. Likewise, there are 2 Universities in New Zealand that offer MBBS, University of Auckland and University of Otago.This is called MBChB which is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Qualification. This is a 6 year Medical Programme with 1 year of mandatory Pre Medical Course. In order to apply for either of the Universities, appearing for UMAT and IELTS is mandatory. An International student is expected to have a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Bio Science, etc and it is mandatory. There is 1 year of Premedical preparation program however that is for the local students. So, Ideally if you want to pursue Medicine in New Zealand, you should have a Bachelor's degree. The rest of the curriculum is the same for both the Universities. 2 years of Pre clinical theory and 3 years of clinical theory with clinical attachments. You also can study a selective subject for a particular duration. After pursuing your Medicine abroad if you want to practise there, you need to clear a license test depending upon the country and state you are in. If you want to come back and practise in India, you should clear the FMGE test.
