Transfusion medicine has a great scope in Research.
It's quite popular in the west.It includes immunohaematology, blood banking, bone marrow transplant,transplant Immunology etc.You will mostly be working in the lab, dealing with the components and donors.It doesn't offer much patient interaction.
If you are passionate about the subject and are someone who is reasearch minded and doesn't mind having less patient contact then you can go ahead with it .
It offers offers a great balance between personal and professional life as compared to other paraclinical subjects.
