Coming to the branches don't go for placement wise go with what you like the most computer science, electrical, mechanical, electronics etc. because everyone got similar placements exceptions are everywhere but if you go with what you like because doing what you like reaps more rewards. According to placement wise computer science is the most demanding branch and after that electronics branch is best.
