The Stages of Descent are as follows :

1. 3rd month of Intra uterine life(IUL) - it begins to descend from the lumbar region
2. 4th month of IUL - It lies in the iliac fossa
3. 4th to 7th month of IUL - It lies in the deep inguinal ring
4. 7th month of IUL - it travels through the inguinal canal
5. 8th Month of IUL - Lie in the superficial inguinal ring
6. 9th month of IUL - it enters scrotal sac
7. At or After birth - it reaches scrotal sac base
