The statistics in advanced level will be axioms, theorems and various approaches, sorting out equation (solution) based on problem you have which is algorithm itself. These are mathematical disciplines related to computer science. But if you work in physics having knowledge of calculus or other such disciplines help you to solve problems more easily.
