Good question ,
First you must be focused ,and you must follow rules amd regulations.
Regular study, regular revise and proper food .
No distractions ,topic must be clear of 11th &12th.

Be mentally prepared. Be prepared for frustration, anger, distractions, sometimes lack of support, inferiority complex. And by be prepared I mean to be able to fight them off, not accept them as your nature..

Make plans and break the syllabus into several parts

Schedule your study plan. Should be well defined and must be followed.

Clear up your basics first- Go through NCERT

Choose study material and books carefully because most of the coaching centers and applications might cause you trouble. I would suggest FIT JEE and Resonance for  coaching

Be Consistent.

Give up your TV, games and other stuff so that you could study as much as you can.

Study must be your top priority

Don't get distracted, Stick to your goal and Work hard. Hope you will crack JEE in first attempt
