To become a ui/ux designer, you need to combine your creative skills with the technical skills. In India, there's no such specific path to become a ui/ux designer. You need to start with a bachelor's degree first, degree in designing. Then you need to enhance your designing skills, this would happen when you go for specialization in ui/ux designing.

Once you are done with all these, build your own portfolio for a good reach. Try doing as many as internships as possible for the recognition and amplifying your skills. You'll learn from your experiences. This is how you'll take steps forward to be a successful ui/ux designer.
