As per your query  I would glad to tell you that  backlog means the exams in which you have appeared and failed to clear that exam , so when you completely passed your graudation when you have no backlogs in any semesters , when you cleared the exam of backlog in next attempt then you its clearly means you have cleared all your backlogs
