OPGL means open category girls quota.Even though the counselling will be done on the basis of general ranks, the reservations come in hangy when the general category seats gets filled up.

Say for eg,we have 250 seats in general and 100 seats reserved for girls in a particular college. We will also assume that you had got rank of 500 in general and 80 in girls. In this scenario, you will most probably secure a seat through OPGL category as number of seats in general category is less when compared to your rank.
