What does the Private quota in Karnataka Medical colleges mean? Is it synonymous to Management quota?

Hey Aditya,

Private quota and management quota are totally different concepts.Private quota basically means that you can apply for admission in colleges by the rank which you are eligible for admission in government colleges,While management quota is for those who fail to qualify normal college merit cutoffs and ssecure direct admission by paying twice or thrice the normal.However private quota is comparitively less expensive and also helps to get admission in good colleges for the preferred stream.

Like the cut off under private quota for some colleges of Bangalore is nearly 55,000+, so is that for the domiciles of Karnataka or is it related to something else?
