There are 3 cases for it as follows :

1. The duration of BEd course is of 2 years if you are a graduate.

2. If you opt for integrated BEd, then it will be of 4 years. Because, in this option, you will be pursuing an undergraduate degree with BEd.

3. If you are an in-service teacher or have an advanced undergraduate qualifications, then BEd is of 1 year.

So it depends on which category you belong you to among the 3 mentioned above.

The duration of Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.) is generally 2 years as set by National Council of Teaching Education (NCET), since 2014. The course is divided into four semesters.

1. Two year b.ed program for undergraduates

2.four year b.ed program for 12th pass students

3 .one year b.ed program starting from year 2026 for postgraduates.
