Dear Sanu, attending the foundation course is mandatory and MCI has made it clear. While the repucursions of not taking up the foundation course for MBBS/BDS course haven't been revealed, as it is a month long course, if you do not attend foundation course, you might lose out on one month's attendance. And when students do not report to college for a month, their names are taken off the attendance register.

In our state only 2 counsellings are completed and there will be other counselling also then should we wait for counselling or join the college of round 2 and attend foundation course.

If the College has given you a date to attend the Foundation course, you have to attend the classes even if the rest of the Counsellings arent done with.
