After the 2ND JEE Mains also takes place in April. Ranks will given to candidates not only on the basis of marks but also on the basis of the normalisation process. The difficulty level of both the question papers will be kept in mind and only after that the ranks will be given.
The candidate with 346 marks and 360 marks both will have 100 percentile only.

this time the rank will be based upon the percentile .

and 360/360 marks means 100 percentage and 100 percentile.

but if 346 is highest in other slot than he will also have the same percentile but different percentage than in this case the rank will be decided by the maths percentile followed by physics and than chemistry an dif by chance all are same than younger student will secure better rank.

percentile makes all the paper equal.( because if one slot difficult marks of every one is less and if other slotb is easy than marks are high).

and if 346marks student is in same slot as 360 marks his percentage remainsame but percentile decrease.
