Actually EWS category is introduced this year only so there are problems going on related to that so yes while filling the registration form for JEE advanced you can change your category to general. Also you should ask to other officials of the states for the ews category certificate also you can go to some goverment college as they can tell you where you will get the form for ews certificate.
