Semesters exams are held generally in graduation degrees and post graduation degrees.No need to worry even if you have failed subject in a semester.You can write the same exam in the supplementary examinations in the next semester or next year.Even though if you fail a subject in a semester,they won't stop you to enter into the next semester.

It doesn't matter how many subjects you have failed in the semesters,By the end of your degree you must clear all the Subjects to get the graduation Certificate.
