JoSAA , before announcing the result of first round of counselling , allocates a fake seat to the candidates who have filled their choices , in the choice filling form .

This ‘mock seat' is merely a possibility of what you are supposed to get, in accordance with your choices filled and your rank (JEE Main / Advanced).

The result of mock seat allocation , However, should not be relied upon, since your actual alloted seat might (read may) differ.

This mock seat is allocated after choice filling date and announcement of results of first round of JoSAA counselling
