German universities don't cost anything but recently they have been moving away from this model. The cost in public university is free, there is however a variable fee to be paid in case of private university. Now there is an annual fee to be paid called the semester fee in either of these universaities which ranges from 20 Euros - 500 Euros. You are requird to have 8,900 Euros in bank account so that is what you should definitely have as a minimum.
