Hello,

Considered to be the noblest profession, Teaching has always been one of the most popular career choices among students.

B. Ed is the bachelor's degree undertaken to take up teaching as a profession.

  1. B. Ed general is for teaching normal students.
  2. Normal in the sense, students without any disability. B. Ed special is for educating students.
  3. The duration of this course is 2 years
  4. The B.Ed. degree course is mandatory for teaching in Upper primary schools, high schools and higher secondary schools.
  5. B.ed special is for disabled kids.
  6. B.Ed. special education course is meant for preparing teachers for teaching special need children i.e., children with Hearing Impairment (H.I), Mental Retardation (M.R), Visual Impairment (V.I) etc.
  7. This is also 2 years course like B.Ed. General.
  8. The candidates who have passed B.Ed. special education either in H.I/M.R/V.I they can serve in special schools as well as in the general schools under integrating setting.

Hope this helps!!!
