Admission in engineering colleges are done through Mpdte councilling based on the results of JEE main. When you the registration and the Choice filling options for a round closes the mpdte release a common merit list in which if you have your name then only a college will be allotted to you in that round and then only you can apply for the upgradation round otherwise you have to wait for the second round. So it's a type of list made on the basis of your marks that you are eligible for getting a college according to your choice preference or not.
