COMPUTER SCIENCE (CS): This field is for those individuals who are interested in programming using Algorithms. CS specialists design software programs and also make sure that they run efficiently. This field mostly requires independent workers. You'll get to learn programming languages like C++ ( highly preferred for programming jobs) , java, python, JavaScript, MySql, HTML, CSS etc.

computer science Engineering is four year degree course where they'll prepare you to find employment as, Web developers, software engineer/Developer, Hardware engineer , programmer etc.


INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) : IT is a field where Collection, recording , accessing , organizing and retrieval of data. An IT professional must know about the latest technologies and programs. If your computer system is not working properly then for that an IT specialist will be called to fix the issue.

You can choose to be a- IT manager, Data scientist, Information Security Analyst, cloud solution architect etc.


If you find yourself drawn towards programming , mathematics and software design then computer science is the right option to choose.

Whereas, if you are interested in installing computer systems , using software and maintaining databases , then IT is the right option.

CS and IT are almost same. The major difference is IT deals with the application of computer technology to real life process, where as CS deals with the science that facilitates these applications. And CSE involves course curriculum covering both hardware and software where as IT is more software oriented.

In both fields you will have bright future. Placements wise, salary wise and etc....
