Dear aspirant,

Almost in 95% of the cases the difference is only in the name and nothing else. Both of them have similar syllabus, similar streams and similar curriculum. The only difference is in the name, some colleges call their programme bachelor of Technology and some called it bachelor of engineering.

The job opportunities and other career opportunities are going to be the same for a candidate with a BTech degree and a candidate with a BE degree. Infact in many exams at graduation level, you'll find that there is a mention of both the courses in the same column.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello!

Bachelor of Engineering ( B.E ) and Bachelor of Technology ( B.Tech ) are two similar degree in engineering stream.

  • B.E. is considered as knowledge-oriented course. In this degree more emphasis is laid on practical applications rather than theoretical aspects.
  • B. Tech is considered as skill-oriented course. In this degree, more emphasis is laid on practical applications rather than theoretical aspects.

Hope this helps!
