what is difference between BE and B.tech?
Hey,
They simply differ in terms of their titles or course content. B.Tech courses are more practical in focus, B.E. or Bachelor of Engineering programmes are more theoretical in character. The theoretical ideas and guiding principles of a certain engineering field are covered by engineering as a science. However , these concepts and principles are implemented or utilized is what technology is all about.
Hope this will help you.
Thank you.
Hi there,
B.tech stands for bachelor in technology whereas B.E. stands for bachelor in engineering. Both are undergrad courses having duration of 4 years with 2 semesters in each year thus making it total 8 semester course. Also no difference is observed in job opportunities or learning/ exploring opportunities. Plus they are are equally recognised by all educational institutions and job offering companies.
But differences they hold are stated as follows:-
B.Tech-- It is more skill oriented where rather than just knowledge practical skills are given more importance. Being skills based the syllabus taught is updated regularly and in accordance with the current ongoing developments. Internships and industrial visits are quite essential in this field. This course is branch (which you opt) oriented.
B.E.-- It is more knowledge oriented where knowledge and data is given more importance. The curriculum may not be updated as regularly as in B.Tech. Internship may not be essential but one can always go for it during their course to expand the horizon. It is branch oriented too but the student learns about other branches too which also sometimes leads to misconception of it being better than B.Tech since people think the student has a bit knowledge of every branch.
Hope this information helps!
