Lateral Entry is when you have completed a Diploma Course after 10th or 12th and directly get admission in Engineering College during the Second Year of Engineering. Other Regular students join Engineering after completing 12th from first year. But you skip the First Year with a Diploma Course. However, the Employability for a Diploma+Engineering Candidate is more than compared to that of an Regular Engineering Student!
